Sankat MochanLord Hanuman Ji

Lord Hanuman is the epitome of absolute devotion (Bhakti), immense strength, courage, and selfless service. In Hindu scriptures, he is recognized as the greatest devotee of Lord Rama and an incarnation of Lord Shiva's divine energy (Rudra Avtar). Devotees worship Hanuman Ji to receive physical strength, protection from negative energies, and peace of mind.

Worshiping Hanuman Ji is also believed to shield devotees from difficult planetary phases, especially Shani (Saturn) cycles. Hanuman Ji holds a special mace (Gada), representing his power to crush obstacles and negative forces in the life of his devotees.

Scriptural Legend & Spiritual Significance

The legend of Lord Hanuman is deeply rooted in the epic Ramayana. Born to Anjana and Kesari, and blessed by Pavana Dev (the Wind God), Hanuman Ji was endowed with divine speed, strength, and the power to change his form. As a child, misjudging the rising sun for a ripe golden fruit, he leaped into the heavens, demonstrating his cosmic potential. Later in life, his strength was awakened during the search for Maa Sita, leading him to cross the vast ocean in a single leap to reach Lanka.

Hanuman Ji's absolute surrender to Lord Rama is considered the peak of Bhakti Yoga (the path of devotion). During the battle against Ravana, when Lakshmana lay mortally wounded, Hanuman Ji flew to the Himalayas to retrieve the life-saving Sanjeevani herb. Unable to identify the specific plant, his devotion led him to lift the entire Dronagiri mountain and carry it back to Lanka, saving Lakshmana's life. He is recognized as a Chiranjeevi - one of the seven immortals - blessed to remain on Earth as long as Lord Rama's name is remembered.

English Translation

"I take refuge in the divine messenger of Shri Rama, who is as swift as the mind and wind, who has conquered his senses, who is the wisest among the wise, and who is the leader of the Vanar troops."

"Having cleansed the mirror of my mind with the dust of my Guru's lotus feet, I sing the pure glory of Lord Rama, which bestows the four fruits of life. Knowing myself to be ignorant, I meditate upon the Son of the Wind; grant me strength, wisdom, and knowledge, and remove all my miseries and flaws."
